Forma Kickstarter Approved — Launching November 10

A big milestone today: the Forma Kickstarter campaign has officially been approved.

After more than a year of designing, prototyping, field testing, refining, and getting Forma into the hands of other photographers, the campaign is finally ready for launch.

Forma will officially launch on Kickstarter on November 10, 2026.

The pre-launch page is now live, which means you can follow the project now and be notified the moment the campaign goes live.

What is Forma?

Forma is a modular multi-format optical viewfinder designed to help photographers see more possibilities, explore compositions more efficiently, and shoot with greater confidence.

Using interchangeable custom frameline cards, Forma can be configured for different formats, aspect ratios, and focal lengths — from 35mm and medium format to large format and beyond.

It’s a completely analog tool built around a simple idea: help you better understand what your lens will see while keeping you visually connected to the world in front of you.

Why Kickstarter?

Kickstarter will allow me to bring Forma into small-batch production and begin building Oramod into something larger.

Forma is the first product, but the goal behind Oramod is broader: to create thoughtful photographic tools that solve real problems, encourage exploration, and draw photographers deeper into the craft rather than pull them away from it.

Follow the campaign

If Forma sounds like something you’d use, visit the Kickstarter pre-launch page and click “Notify me on launch.”

That way, you’ll be notified as soon as the campaign goes live on November 10.

I’m incredibly excited to finally be at this stage, and I’m looking forward to sharing everything I’ve been working on.
